I’m a self-confessed camera geek.
Walking round with one eye half open for a good shot is the best way to appreciate the colours and drama, as much as the humour and emotion, in everyday scenes.
Here are a few of my favourite shots. Head to my Flickr pages if you’re keen for more or pop over to my dedicated photography blog, Quintessential Photography.
A damp November day in Winchester made for an atmospheric evening.
A November trip to New York – above and below - with many happy memories.
Couldn’t resist this shot of a girl who strode down Brighton beach to get her own picture of the churning sea.
Nor could I resist this image of a girl relaxing on Brighton’s pebble beach, with the skeletal West Pier as a backdrop.
I liked the contrast of the tranquil calm and peace of the gull on the beach, with the excitement and man-made frenetic entertainment on the Pier.
Some of the most expensive beach huts in the UK, if not the world. It is a beautiful part of the world though.

Dorset, Beautiful? – Of course it is Jo, that’s why I came back!
I love the Hampshire / Dorset coast!
